I do love stories about straight boys who go bad. And by bad, yes, I do mean straight boys who completely embrace sex with another man, but also continue to see themselves as straight boys. I know it’s weird, but it works for me. Consider my story Tricked. And I’ve just written another, similar story, but I’m not completely finished with it. I’m far enough along with it, though, to feel very proud of it. At this point, I think I am going to call the new story Five Finger Discount, but that might change. (And it has changed, twice, in the last 24 hours, so another change is definitely a possibility). But what won’t change is this: It’s another story about a straight boy, Jimmy Manley (same boy from Tricked), who gets tricked (again) into having sex with another man, and Jimmy really likes it, but is really conflicted about it too.

The tough thing about stories like these is that they’re not too profitable: Gay people might not buy it because they may feel turned off by Jimmy’s fear of his own needs, or his stubbornness about being heterosexual. And straight people might not buy it because straight people don’t want to read no porn about sucking cocks. Or, at least, that’s how I’m reading the sales figures.

Tricked is one of my favorite stories ever. And I really digging Five Finger Discount, too, for many of the same reasons I like Tricked. It’s just different. An interesting way to look at the world. Maybe I just need to learn how to market these kinds of stories better, because I certainly like to create them.

I’ll write a bit more about how I came up with the story another night (it’s a good story). For now, he is the proposed synopsis for Five Finger Discount:

A teenage straight boy gets blackmailed into gay sex with the security personnel at a local mall. An adult work, Five Finger Discount is a single story from the Carnal Series.

In “Five Finger Discount,” Jimmy Manley is caught shoplifting by Emil Bogdon, a kinky immigrant security guard who happens to enjoy bondage but doesn’t speak English terribly well. Jimmy has enjoyed hustling gay men in the past and is quite concerned with maintaining the appearance of a heterosexual all American boy. He thinks he has agreed to let Bogdon take him on a “little trip to heaven” in exchange for his freedom. Bogdon, however, is not as concerned with the appearance of heterosexuality in teenage American boys. Bogdon cares about only one thing, which thing he makes abundantly clear to Jimmy when he “unbuckle[s] his belt, open[s] his pants, and lower[s] his fly.” Before the afternoon is over, Jimmy will have to make a tough choice. Will he choose to earn his freedom with Bogdon the only way he can (the “hard” way, of course!), or will he continue to soldier on in the fog of denial?

No matter the length, Carnal stories are always dark and dirty. Each story takes place in the small town of Carnal, where it’s always burning, no matter what the season.
